The steel body mounts in doors from 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 in thick through a 1 in cross bore, with a 3-1/4 in face that gives fingers a full grip on both sides. The privacy latch locks from inside and gives the door a positive close, and the mechanism is reversible for left-hand and right-hand doors.
