The Door Axis Security Hinge adds a projecting stud that interlocks the leaves whenever the door is closed, so the door stays captive even if the pin is driven out. It serves bedroom, garage-entry, and outswing openings where the hinge barrel faces the unsecured side.
When the door closes, the stud on one leaf seats into the matching socket on the other, mechanically pinning the leaves together. Removing the hinge pin then gains an intruder nothing: the door cannot be lifted free. The hinge installs like any standard 3-1/2 in mortise butt hinge and is offered as a square-corner single in Bright Brass or a 5/8 in radius three-pack in Antique Brass.
