The Door Axis Weighted Rope Door Stop holds interior doors open with a sand-weighted knot of woven cotton rope in a natural tan colorway. It serves homes that want a soft, movable stop with no floor or wall fasteners.

The knot measures 6-1/4 in on each side and carries enough internal ballast to hold a traditionally hinged residential door without springs or reinforcement. An integral rope loop makes it easy to lift and move between rooms, and nothing screws down, so floors and baseboards stay untouched. Care is a wipe with a dry cloth. It is rated for residential doors and is not a substitute for a fixed stop behind a hard-swinging door.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it hold a heavy solid-core door?
It holds traditionally hinged doors without springs or reinforced closers. Doors under closer pressure need a mechanical stop, which we quote separately.
