Fast Balcony Waterproof Aluminum Deck Balcony System
Reviewed pricing, lead time, freight, and final configuration are confirmed during quote review before order release.
The Fast Balcony Waterproof Aluminum Deck Balcony System replaces the composite walking surface with interlocking watertight extruded aluminum boards, so the space below the balcony stays dry. It is the platform to specify when balconies stack over patios, entries, storage, or other balconies, and it serves the same multifamily and modular buyers as the rest of the bolt-on line.
The chassis is a welded aluminum perimeter frame and joist assembly with 45 degree mitered corners welded at 0.25 in and 0.375 in thickness. The deck is the working difference: extruded aluminum boards interlock into a watertight surface with integral drainage channels, shedding water to the drainage edge instead of through the deck, which keeps the area below dry and turns stacked balconies into covered outdoor space. An all-aluminum deck also runs lighter than the composite program, published per variant. Wall-side knife plates bolt to embeds in the building structure and the unit sets by crane or lift. Guards are vertical picket or tensioned stainless cable at 42 in, in five standard footprints and the four-color powder coat program.
Highlights
- Interlocking watertight extruded aluminum deck keeps the space below dry
- Integral drainage channels shed water to the drainage edge, not through the deck
- Non-combustible aluminum walking surface, powder coated with the frame
- Lighter than the composite deck platforms at every size, about 322 to 510 lb by variant
- Five standard sizes: 4 ft x 8 ft, 5 ft x 8 ft, 4 ft x 9 ft 6 in, 5 ft x 9 ft 6 in, 5 ft x 10 ft
- Vertical picket or stainless cable guard at 42 in height
- Knife plate connection to building structure embeds, bolt-on with no field welding
- Powder coat program: Matte Black standard; White, Bronze, Slate Gray; custom colors quoted on request

Installation Notes
- Structural attachment, embed placement, and project live loads must be verified by the project engineer of record; structural verification is completed during quote review.
- Install embeds or wall preparation from the released embed plan before balcony delivery; the knife plate and embed kit is matched to the wall construction during quote review.
- Set the unit by crane or lift, land the knife plates on the embeds, and bolt the connections per the released installation documents.
- Set the drainage slope and confirm water sheds to the drainage edge per the released drawings before final torque; connect scupper or trim details where the project drainage plan requires them.
- Align the top of the deck surface level with the top of the interior subfloor, torque fasteners per the released installation documents, and wash powder coated surfaces with mild detergent and water.
Warranty and Support
- Warranty coverage for the final quoted configuration is documented and confirmed during quote review.
- Powder coated surfaces should be washed with mild detergent and water; keep drainage channels clear of debris seasonally. AAMA 2604-class powder coat performance is available and confirmed during quote review.
Frequently Asked Questions
How dry is the space below the balcony?
The extruded boards interlock into a watertight surface and water sheds through integral channels to the drainage edge, so the area below stays dry in normal service. The drainage edge, scuppers, and trim are detailed to the project drainage plan during quote review.
Why choose aluminum deck over composite?
Choose the aluminum deck when the space below must stay dry, when a non-combustible walking surface is specified, or when weight matters: the aluminum deck runs about 90 lb lighter than the composite program at the largest size. The composite platform remains the standard for open-air stacks.
Which railing options are available?
Vertical picket and tensioned stainless cable, both at a 42 in guard height on the same welded post and rail system. Mesh and glass guards are available on the composite deck platforms.
Which sizes are available?
Five standard footprints run 4 ft x 8 ft through 5 ft x 10 ft, and custom footprints are engineered to project spec through the quote process.
