Configuration

Reviewed pricing, lead time, freight, and final configuration are confirmed during quote review before order release.

Light Archon StormSet weatherproof boxes put surface-mounted power outdoors: patios, decks, landscape circuits, and exterior equipment feeds. The platform spans 1-gang, 2-gang, and 4 in. round formats in gray, white, and bronze, with metal bodies as the standard and nonmetallic formats where corrosion or cost calls for them.

Each format carries multiple conduit entries, three to five per box in 1/2 in., 3/4 in., or 1 in. trade sizes by configuration, so feeds can enter from the direction the run demands and spare entries close off. The deep 1-gang format adds wiring room for device-heavy landings, and round formats serve fixtures and junction points. Pair every box with a listed weatherproof or in-use cover, quoted separately, to complete the wet-location assembly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do these boxes need a separate cover?
Yes. The wet-location assembly is the box plus a listed weatherproof cover, or an in-use cover where equipment stays plugged in. The desk pairs covers on the same quote.

What do the entry counts mean?
Each format carries three to five threaded conduit entries in the stated trade size, so the feed can enter from any face the run demands. Unused entries close with plugs.

Metal or nonmetallic: which should I quote?
Metal formats are the standard for durability and grounding continuity; nonmetallic formats resist corrosion in coastal and chemical exposure and cost less. Both are surface-mount weatherproof formats.

Which format for a GFCI receptacle?
The 1-gang deep format gives a GFCI-class device room for its body and splices. Standard 1-gang formats handle single devices with short conductor counts.
