Is it really waterproof?
Yes. The material is solid vinyl construction and waterproof from all sides. Standing water still needs to be addressed at the subfloor and perimeter, but the floor itself does not swell or delaminate.
What does the wear layer number mean?
The wear layer is the clear protective film over the print layer, measured in mils. 12 mil is a residential and rental grade thickness; thicker wear layers survive more traffic before showing wear-through.
Does it need underlayment?
No. The pad is attached. Install directly over a flat, dry, structurally sound subfloor per the installation document; a vapor retarder may be required over concrete.
Does it need grout?
No. The click tiles lock edge to edge with a tight seam and install floating, with no mortar, grout, or cure time. The visual reads as tile; the install works like plank.
