Whole agate sections arranged edge to edge and bonded into large-format surface panels: under backlight every stone ring reads like a stained glass field. Two colorways ship in this program, the cool Blue Agate and the amber Spider Silk Yellow Agate, both photographed as installed backlit features.

Agate surface panels are assembled from full agate slices selected for color consistency, bonded to an engineered composite backer, and finished polished. They are specified backlit more than any other gemstone surface: island fronts, bar aprons, feature walls, and tub surrounds. Panel layout is unique by nature and approved on lot photography.

• Panels are fabricated as semi-precious stone faces on an engineered composite backer; fabrication and installation by qualified stone professionals only.
• Bond to flat, fully cured substrates with the adhesive class specified by the fabricator of record; full-contact bedding prevents hollow spots under point loads.
• Edges are finished by edge lamination with matched stone strips so counters, waterfall ends, and reveals read as solid material; edge details are approved on shop drawings at quote.
• For backlit assemblies pair the panel with an even-output high-CRI LED field, hold a consistent standoff, plan seams against the lighting grid, and ventilate the light cavity.
• Seal the stone face with a penetrating sealer suited to semi-precious surfaces at installation; clean with pH neutral products only.
• Field template verification is required before cutting; nominal panel dimensions are planning figures confirmed per lot.

Do agate panels need backlighting?
No, but it is their signature use. Under neutral light the surface reads as polished stone mosaic in deep color; over an even LED field every agate ring glows. Both readings are shown in the gallery and both are supported at quote.

Which colorways are available?
Blue Agate and Spider Silk Yellow Agate ship in this program with true backlit swatches. Additional agate colors exist in the source range but are not released until imagery meeting our standard is available; ask at quote if your project needs a specific color.

How are seams handled on large backlit fields?
Panel seams are planned against the lighting grid during shop drawings so joints read as intentional lines rather than shadows. Seam positions are approved before fabrication.
