Prezio Stone Lemurian Blue Granite Slab Program
Reviewed pricing, lead time, freight, and final configuration are confirmed during quote review before order release.
Lemurian Blue is a Madagascan labradorite granite, which means the surface does something no photograph fully captures: broad crystal faces flash teal, peacock, and electric blue as you move around the room. Static, it reads as a deep blue green stone; in use it is kinetic, the reason designers put it on islands, bars, and vanities under directional light.
Slabs run approx 105 x 65 in from sequential bundles. Polished is essential to the labradorite flash and is the default specification; honed and leathered mute the effect into a moody slate blue for cladding. Flash density varies slab to slab, so allocation is approved on current lot photography during quote review.

Installation and Care Notes
- Fabrication and installation by qualified stone professionals only; this program supplies material and sequencing documentation to your fabricator of record.
- Field template verification is required before cutting; nominal slab dimensions are planning figures and every lot is confirmed against the released slab list.
- Seam placement and vein flow direction are approved on drawings during quote review before fabrication begins.
- 2 cm tops require continuous plywood substrate or engineered support at spans and overhangs; 3 cm spans further and typically carries overhangs to 10 in without corbels, confirmed by the fabricator.
- Seal all faces and edges before grouting or first use, then follow the resealing cadence in the care schedule.
- Edge profile, sink and faucet cutouts, and backsplash heights are selected and priced at quote.
Program Support
- Every slab is graded on arrival and allocated from sequential bundles for consistency
- Current lot photography is issued for approval during quote review before any slab is released
- Support continues through templating and installation questions with your fabricator of record
Frequently Asked Questions
What makes the surface flash?
Labradorite crystals reflect light internally, a natural effect called labradorescence. Each crystal face flashes at its own viewing angle, so the surface shifts as you move past it.
Does photography show the real stone?
Photos capture one lighting angle only, so the flash always reads stronger in person. Lot photography plus a physical sample under project lighting is the right approval path, both arranged at quote.
Which finish should I specify?
Polished, unless you deliberately want the muted slate read of honed or leathered for wall cladding. The flash is strongest on polished faces.
Is it durable for kitchen counters?
Yes. It is a hard granite class stone; sealed care and pH neutral cleaners keep the polish and the flash at full depth.
