Prezio Stone Translucent Semi-Precious Slab Program

SKU: PS-STN-TRN-SEMIPREC-WCR
Colorway

Reviewed pricing, lead time, freight, and final configuration are confirmed during quote review before order release.

Nineteen semi-precious translucent surfaces in slab format: crystal quartz, amethyst, agate, and fluorite bonded into large-format panels that backlight like stained glass. This is the translucent slab program; the same stone families also appear in our opaque gemstone surface line for furniture and wall work.

Each colorway is a real semi-precious aggregate: whole agate sections, crystal quartz masses, or fluorite crystals arranged and bonded into approx 2400 x 1200 mm nominal panels at 2 cm. Under an LED field the stone structure reads at full saturation. Pattern is lot-specific by nature; every quote is approved on current lot photography, unlit and backlit.

Highlights

  • 19 semi-precious colorways: crystal, amethyst, agate, fluorite
  • Backlit-ready large-format slabs, approx 2400 x 1200 mm nominal at 2 cm
  • True stone sections: every panel pattern is unique by nature
  • Unlit and backlit reference photography per colorway lot
  • Statement material for bars, islands, walls, and vanities
  • Quote first program: lots approved on photography before release

Included with This Program

  • Full slabs allocated per approved lot photography
  • Colorway sample approval before production
  • Backlit assembly reference details and care documents

Installation and Care Notes

  • Backlit assemblies pair 2 cm translucent stone with an even-output LED backlight panel; specify high-CRI panels (90 CRI or better) in the 3000K to 4000K range for faithful stone color.
  • Hold a consistent standoff between the LED panel face and the stone back, typically 3 to 4 in, so diode hotspots blend into an even glow; edge-lit panel systems can run thinner where cavity depth is limited.
  • Plan panel joints and seam positions against the lighting layout during shop drawings; seams read brighter or darker when they cross a lit field, so align seams with grid lines of the light panels.
  • Provide ventilation or heat dissipation for the light cavity and serviceable access to drivers and panels.
  • Mechanical fixing per the engineer of record: cleat or standoff systems for wall panels, full perimeter support for horizontal backlit surfaces.
  • Seal stone faces and edges with a penetrating sealer suited to translucent stone before grouting or first use; use pH neutral cleaners.

Program Support

  • Quote first program: colorways, quantities, and production timing are confirmed in writing before any order is placed.
  • Slab lot photography is approved during quote review so the delivered stone matches the approved reference lot.
  • Support covers submittal documents, backlit assembly reference details, and fabrication questions through the quote team.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from the gemstone surface line?
This program is the translucent slab format graded for backlighting. The gemstone surface line covers opaque and composite gemstone panels for furniture, counters, and walls where backlighting is not the driver. Some stone families appear in both; the format and grading differ.

Will my slab match the photo?
Pattern in semi-precious material is lot-specific: agate sections and crystal masses arrange differently in every panel. Photography shows the colorway and structure accurately, and your specific lot is approved on photographs during quote review.

Can these be used for countertops?
Yes, semi-precious panels serve as counters and bar tops with edge lamination and substrate details confirmed at quote. Wear behavior follows the stone family; quartz-family surfaces are hard and durable with standard sealing care.
